Beige Knitted jacket with short sleeves

A short-sleeve knitted jacket from Barbara Alvisi, patterned with an all-over letter jacquard in white and aqua on a warm beige ground. The cut is neat and boxy in the manner of a classic French-style jacket — round neck, contrast striped trim, four trimmed pockets, and a row of gold-tone buttons down the front. Hand-selected from Barbara Alvisi, a small atelier near Bologna whose knitwear we carry each season.

Fabric & feel

Knit from 67% viscose and 33% polyamide — a blend that drapes coolly and resists pilling through repeated wear. The letter motif is knitted in, not printed, so the pattern keeps its definition season after season. The gauge is fine enough that the jacket reads as a tailored layer rather than a sweater, and the weight sits between a heavy blouse and a lightweight blazer — cool to the skin in Florida's warm months, light enough to pack flat for travel.

Fit & sizing

Available in sizes S, M, and L. Italian fit, true to size — neat through the shoulder, with a straight body and a clean line at the high hip. Short sleeves end above the elbow, finished with the same striped trim as the neckline and hem. The jacket pairs cleanly with both slim and wide trousers; we recommend sizing up if you prefer a fully relaxed line.

How to wear it

The beige-and-aqua palette asks for quiet companions: white, cream, navy, or warm sand. We like it buttoned over white wide-leg trousers with pale pumps for lunch on the patio, or worn open over a simple camisole with our silky midi skirt for the office. Care

Hand-wash cold or use the delicate cycle in a mesh bag. Lay flat to dry — do not hang while wet (the shoulders will stretch). Reshape gently while damp. Steam, never iron, the inside seams to refresh. Store folded, not hung, between wears.
