Description
A long, open-knit duster cardigan in cotton, its loose crochet-like stitch carrying a jacquard fish-and-wave motif throughout. Made in Italy by Barbara Alvisi, it falls to ankle length and moves like a light coat — the kind of piece you throw over a swimsuit or a plain top and let do the talking.
Fabric & feel
Knitted from 100% cotton in an open, lace-like stitch, the fabric is airy and see-through by design, with the fish motif worked into the pattern rather than printed on. It has enough drape to fall straight rather than cling, even at full length.
Fit & sizing
Offered in S, M and L, the cardigan is cut long and generous, reaching close to the ankle with a point collar, a button front and side slits that open for ease of movement while walking. The open stitch means it has some natural give, so it sits comfortably even worn over a bulkier layer underneath.
How to wear it
Wear it open over a striped top and wide-leg trousers for a beach-to-boardwalk look, or over a simple slip dress for evening. Because the stitch is open, it works best as an outer layer rather than on its own — plan on wearing something underneath even on warm days, both for coverage and for sun protection walking along the water.
