Cotton dress-shirt red
Description
A bright red take on the same oversized cotton shirt dress, carrying the same scattered nautical embroidery — seahorse, coral, shell, sailboat and swimmer — in contrasting thread. Made in Italy by Barbara Alvisi, the colour makes it the boldest of the three and an easy way to stand out at a summer lunch on the water.
Fabric & feel
The 100% cotton fabric is crisp and lightweight, the same base cloth used across the white and black versions, so it holds its shape through the collar and pocket while breathing well in Sarasota's heat.
Fit & sizing
Runs S, M and L in the same oversized, dropped-shoulder cut, with a chest patch pocket, button cuffs on the long sleeves, and a curved hem that dips higher at the sides than the back. As with the other two colours, the loose fit means it's forgiving across a range of body shapes, and the length works equally well as a beach cover-up or a genuine mini dress.
How to wear it
Let the colour do the work: keep footwear and accessories neutral, in white or tan. Belt it at the waist for more shape, or wear it loose and open over shorts as a cover-up. It photographs particularly well against Sarasota's beaches and marinas, which is part of why we brought in this colour alongside the white and black.
